PianoArts presents a Gala in support of the 2018 North American Competition. The evening showcases an extravaganza of talent.

Gala Concert

Sahun "Sam" Hong

The 2012 PianoArts North American First Place Competition Winner will perform Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 3.

Mr. Hong's original chamber music arrangement will be played by a quartet of musicians from the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.

The Gala will also showcase four more pianists, a singer, and a zither player.

Prelude Concert

The gala will open with a Prelude Concert, a musical salute to Vienna’s dazzling artistic life. Performing will be concert pianists Stefanie Jacob and Jeffry Peterson; Wisconsin Youth Piano Competition first place winner, Michael Wu; Tanya Kruse Ruck, soprano; and 2017 PianoArts Fellow John Schindler.

The event begins with cocktails (cash bar) and silent auction.

  • 6:30 p.m.

Gala Prelude Concert

  • 7:30 p.m.
