XD basics Friday, Feb. 1 10-noon Room 101

Adobe XD allows you to quickly design, prototype and share app or webpage mockups. This is a great tool to put ideas into something client's can test/interact with. This workshop will introduce you to XD and its main features, allowing you to mockup a student portfolio app.

User experience (UX) design is commonly defined as the process to design experiences and interactions with a digital or physical product that is useful, easy, and enjoyable. User interface design (UI) is commonly defined as the process of designing the visual look of the product and the functionality of the interaction.

In this workshop, students will be introduced to user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design, the role of designers, and the design process. To reinforce UX and UI design principles, students will assess and provide analysis on the design of an existing product.

Adobe XD reimagines the way designers create experiences with fast, intuitive tools that get you into your designs and get out of your way. Power up prototypes with voice. Automatically resize elements for different screens. Create amazing animations between artboards without timelines. It’s everything you need for what’s next in UX — and it’s only in XD.
