"I Hear America Singing" By: Walt Whitman

The poem is about all the people that sing while working and the different things they sing about. Mechanics that are strong and hard working sing while working on cars. Carpenters sing while measuring boards and beams. A mason sings as goes to work and leaves work. A captain sings about what belongs to him and his deckhand sings on the deck. A woodcutter sings about a ploughboy on his way. A mother sings of a young wife at work or a girl sewing or washing. Each one of these workers sings about there things. Young people party during the night and it belongs to them but not the day. They sing good songs with open mouths.

Delicious- word describes how a woman sings.

Melodious- word describes how someone sings just like delicious except describes how the words flow.
