The Timna Desert Archery Challenge November 19-21, 2015

After 4000 years, King Solomon’s archers are coming back to Timna!

On November 19, 2015, the first international field archery competition in desert terrain is getting underway at Timna Park – a one-of-a-kind location, 30 km. north of Eilat, Israel.

Dear archers, friends and colleagues,

On behalf of Israel Archery Association and the 21st Century Archery Club, you are cordially invited to take part in the first of its kind field archery competition at Timna Park, in the Arava desert in the south of Israel.

The competition, aptly named King Solomon's Desert Challenge, will take place on 19-21 of November, 2015 – the perfect time of the year for a desert competition!

We hope you can join us in this exciting adventure. We're looking forward to welcoming you with our customary Israeli hospitality, and sharing with you the ageless beauty of our country and the thrill and challenge of desert archery.

Competition rules will comply with WA guidelines. However, due to the 12-target courses and the limited number of participants (48 max), no eliminations rounds will be conducted. Other changes may apply and will be announced promptly.

Participating categories: Recurve, Compound, Barebow, Instinctive bow, and Longbow.
