I took these images inspired by photographer Robert Frank. His style of seriousness mixed with a little bit of fun is what I tried to mimic with the pictures of Brett. I had Brett be serious like the subjects in that of Frank’s pictures then for the other one I had him smile also like a few of the subjects in Frank’s work. Also the old looking black and white photos was inspired by Frank. It was a little difficult to get the lighting and the pictures to turn out the way I wanted them too because of how dark the shooting environment was, but we got it done and I am proud about how they came out. I have a lot of respect for Frank for how he did his work because our cameras now are still a little difficult to shoot this type of photo and the camera he must have been using must’ve been ten times harder.
This class overall has been one of my favorite in High school. It has been slightly challenging learning all the settings and learning how to take the picture in the best light and at the best moment, but I liked it. Most people like super easy electives but this one wasn't super easy it was just challenging enough that I enjoyed it and still was able to have fun.
