I took these images inspired by photographer Robert Frank. His style of seriousness mixed with a little bit of fun is what I tried to mimic with the pictures of Brett. I had Brett be serious like the subjects in that of Frank’s pictures then for the other one I had him smile also like a few of the subjects in Frank’s work. Also the old looking black and white photos was inspired by Frank. It was a little difficult to get the lighting and the pictures to turn out the way I wanted them too because of how dark the shooting environment was, but we got it done and I am proud about how they came out. I have a lot of respect for Frank for how he did his work because our cameras now are still a little difficult to shoot this type of photo and the camera he must have been using must’ve been ten times harder.

This photo it is an artful selfie. It’s a picture of me and the lighting is just so cool and it looks good with all the shadows. The window that I’m behind, in my opinion, is also a really cool prop/addition.
This is a photo of a misperception people have of me. Sometimes I look serious and that i have to fun but this picture of me holding a microphone shows one thing that I love to do, sing. Not many people know but I sing in the shower, in the car, in my room, and just when I’m bored.
This picture reveals something not many people know about me. The thing is that I take Chinese at school and have been learning it since 6th grade. I really enjoy it and it’s not too hard to learn.
For this experience i went to the gym and attempted to make my first ever half court shot. I kept on trying and trying until I finally managed to make one. I felt really accomplished, even though it took forever.

This class overall has been one of my favorite in High school. It has been slightly challenging learning all the settings and learning how to take the picture in the best light and at the best moment, but I liked it. Most people like super easy electives but this one wasn't super easy it was just challenging enough that I enjoyed it and still was able to have fun.
