Hi, I'm Jenn Di Spirito, Vancouver-based family portrait photographer. We firmly believe there is to better way to decorate your home than with photographs of those you love most in the world. But we also know that task can seem daunting. What will you wear? Will you like how you look? Which photographs should you print and what size?

That's why we plan, photograph and create artwork... all for you.

Your family portrait session is so much more than a day where you get all dressed up and smile at the camera for an hour or two. It's a celebration of who you are today. It's a time to connect and have fun, and have it captured in a way that's filled with love and emotion, and is meaningful for your family.

And the end result won't be just a digital file you post on Instagram on Monday and forgotten about by Wednesday. The end result will be a beautiful wall gallery, in whichever room in your home you choose, that communicates to your family (and the rest of the world) that family is the most important thing in this world and that each member of the family is loved and supported.

MY STYLE

My style is a little bit posed and a little bit lifestyle. What that means for you is that I'll help position you in a way that looks amazing in photographs. I'll let you know where to put your hand and which way to turn so you don't have that awkward "I have no idea what to do here" feeling.

But then I'll get you talking and moving and loving on each other the way only you know how to do. Because those are the moments we'll get the emotion-filled portraits you'll love most.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Once I receive your session fee, I'll send you our client questionnaire so I can begin customizing your session.

On the day of your session, the only thing you need to do is relax, show up and trust me to do what I do best. Over the past 10 years I've photographed families with kids of all ages and have perfected the art of guiding you through fun, connection and emotion in front of my camera. By the end of our time together, you'll have amazing family portraits. Promise.

Two to three weeks following your portrait session you'll receive your private online viewing gallery. You can choose from one of our many studio offerings, including a digital file package. If you're considering a wall gallery we'd be happy to help choose one that perfectly fills your available wall space and suits your home decor.

YOUR INVESTMENT

Your family portrait session is $295 and includes your 60 minute photography session, wall gallery recommendations, location suggestions, support with what to wear and a framed 11"x14" portrait.

All wall galleries, prints, digital files and other studio products are purchased after you have viewed your online proofing gallery, approximately two weeks after your portrait session.

Why a framed 11"x14" portrait? Displaying family portraits in your home has a profound effect on your child's sense of self-esteem, acceptance and belonging - regardless of their age. More than anything, we want to help you achieve that. And because we deliver your portrait framed and ready to hang, the only thing standing in the way of having that portrait displayed on your wall is a hammer and nail.

SCHEDULING

On-location family sessions are photographed in the hour after sunrise and the hour prior to sunset. Depending on the time of year this may mean sacrificing sleep, work or regularly scheduled activities, but I promise, it will be worth it. Your portraits will be treasured memories for years to come, which is why we always want to photograph you in the best light possible.

SESSION LOCATION

Because you want an amazing wall gallery, the backdrop for your session needs to be chosen with the wall gallery room in mind. Please don’t worry if you don’t have any ideas for your family photography session location. Having photographed families in Vancouver for over 10 years, I have countless out-of-the-way locales that are ideal for family portraits.

CHOOSING YOUR WALL GALLERY

The way you frame and display your family portraits is the difference between a true work of art and a Pinterest fail. The wall gallery you choose needs to appropriately fill your chosen wall space and take your family's personality and home decor into account.

We're here to help. Following your session you are welcome to email us a picture of your empty wall. We will happily recommend the size, number and style of frames that work best in your space.

Choosing the classic or custom framing options means you won't need to do any work to get your family portraits ready for your walls and, more importantly, it means your frames will be glassless. Glassless framing is akin to museum art and truly elevates your family portraits.

DIGITAL FILES

We know you'll want to share our family portraits with all your friends, which is why every print 7"x10" and larger ordered comes with the corresponding high resolution digital file.

Alternatively, all the digital files from your online gallery can be purchased for $595.
