In the Northern Part of China the main food eaten is mutton (sheep). In Southern China the Chinese eat mostly seafood like fish, shrimp, crab, and lobster because of how close their city is to the South China Sea. The Chinese eat a lot of rice, noodles, dumplings, breads, buns, meat, and vegetables. Whatever type of meal you choose to eat, we're sure you will enjoy it!

In china there is lots of culture and many religions are also practiced here as well. Some common religions in China, is taoism and buddhism. They have many customs, for example taking your shoes off before entering buildings and other places.

These are some things that you might see in China

On your first day in China you will be visiting one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world, the Great Wall of China. You will ride a bus for 1-2 hours and you will be exploring the beautiful sights along the Great Wall for the entire day. We suggest that you wear shorts, a t-shirt, and running shoes because you will be walking 6-7 miles along the Great Wall. China is very proud of the Great Wall, it being the greatest man made monument.

On your second day in China you will be visiting the Summer Palace where you will be able to see all the beautiful artwork they have there, and the gorgeous architecture that is used while building in China. It is a very large area, it includes 3000 buildings within 742+ acres. It is built around the South Lake which is man made.

On your third day in China you will go to the Forbidden City, the largest palace in the world with a total of 800 buildings. It is the the size of 135 football fields, which have stood thousands of earthquakes, despite it being made entirely out of wood. The emperor was the only one who could go to all sections of the city in the past. Some landmarks in the Forbidden City were the (Meridian) Wu Gate, the Hall of Supreme Harmony, and Imperial Gardens.

Experience the regal city of the Emperors

On your fourth day in China you will be visiting the Terracotta army, built by the first emperor, Qin Shihuangdi. The army is the Eighth Ancient Wonder of the ancient world. Over 10,000 men labored to build the Terracotta soldiers and the other riches that were buried deep in the emperor's tomb. The Terracotta army was built to protect the emperor in the afterlife. Other than actually looking at the soldiers, you can explore the museum dedicated to the Terracotta army. You will explore the Terracotta army and the Museum for the entirety of the day. Then you will take a cab back to the hotel. You can prepare for the day by wearing a sweatshirt and walking shoes. You will need to bring your patience as well because you will have to be patient to get a good spot to take a picture of the Terracotta army in its entirety.

There are more than 8,000 Terracotta Soldiers, and there are still more being discovered!

On your fifth day in China you will be visiting the Potala Palace where there are over 1,000 rooms inside so prepare to explore by wearing walking shoes. It's so big that you could touch the stars. It also is one of the most beautiful places in ancient China and even modern China. You will spend your whole day at the Potala Palace where you will hopefully find your way to the Chogyal Drubphuk the holiest room in the palace. We hope that you take your time and enjoy the historical wonders of the Potala Palace.

Part of the reason the palace is so big is because of the mountain its built on.
