REVISED 9/26/2020

We resumed in-person on-site Sunday morning worship on May 24th, 2020. During the September 2020 session meeting, elders set a capacity limit of 190 people for our sanctuary. We are also designating an overflow area in case we exceed capacity. We conduct a shorter, communion-only service at 5:00pm with a limit of 50 people. Please register online each week to commit to attending in person. We will continue to livestream our Sunday morning service.

While we are doing our best to minimize the spread of COVID, gathering as a group constitutes some risk of exposure. We all need to balance our risk exposure with our desire to gather and make wise decisions. Please consult your physician for advice and continue to consult the CDC guidelines. We consider the following health factors at increased risk of complications due to COVID:

  • Age 65+, especially those with chronic lung disease.
  • Moderate to Severe Asthma
  • Chronic Heart Disease
  • Severe Obesity
  • Diabetes
  • Chronic Kidney Disease undergoing dialysis.
  • Liver Disease
  • Weakened Immune System

By attending the in-person worship, you are representing to all other attendees that you and every person in your household (1) does not have known close contact with a person who is confirmed or suspected to have COVID-19 in the last 14 days and (2) does not have any of the following new or worsening signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19:

  1. Cough
  2. Shortness of Breath
  3. Difficulty Breathing
  4. Chills
  5. Repeated Shaking with Chills
  6. Muscle Pain
  7. Headache
  8. Sore Throat
  9. Loss of Taste or Smell
  10. Diarrhea
  11. Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit.

All attendees will wear a face mask except for attendees two years old and under. If you do not have a face mask, please let us know and WPC will provide one for you. No one will be allowed entrance without a face mask except for those leading worship while on stage.

Please maintain at least 6 feet of separation from individuals that are not in your household.

Please greet each other with bows and waves rather than handshakes or other physical contact.

At this time, we are unable to offer nursery. If you are attending church with young children, we invite you to use our Training Room at the back of the sanctuary as needed.

Although we are not currently offering Sunday School on-site, we have five different options for all ages meeting online.

We are using two parking lots: the South parking lot that is next to the Sanctuary, and the Bryan High parking lot.

Two entrances to the building are available. If you park in the South parking lot, enter the Sanctuary in the marked entrance that is nearest to the front of the Sanctuary. If you park in the Bryan High parking lot, you will enter the marked entrance that is nearest to the front of the Sanctuary. If you enter from the Bryan High parking lot, proceed around the playground area. A map is provided here. Our ushers will open the doors to provide you with a touchless experience.

All other entrances to the building will remain closed. The foyer and hallways will be closed other than for a bathroom emergency. Please do not enter any other areas of the building.

Hand sanitizer will be available at both entrances. Please have all household members sanitize their hands prior to sitting down.

Ushers will direct you to a pew as you enter the sanctuary. We will seat every other row. All members of your household will need to sit together. We will have distanced spacing if households are sitting on the same row.

Facemasks will be worn during the service except when taking communion. We will give you instructions during the service about when to remove your mask and when to put it back on.

We will not be distributing worship bulletins or passing the offering plate and communion elements. The offering plates are located near each exit if you prefer to leave a check or cash while in person.

As you enter the sanctuary, note the tables of Communion elements at the front of the room. You are invited to take your Communion elements with you to your seat and we commune together later in the service.

Once worship is over, we will dismiss attendees by row. You will exit the same way you entered. We encourage you to practice safe distancing outside and clear the sidewalks for those exiting, but we enjoy a sweet time of gathering outside in the parking lot.
