Ribbon System

In the 1930s, Kincoppal brought a new system where they handed out pink, green and blue ribbons to students who achieved astounding things or held a responsible leadership role in the school. This narrative came to an end in 1940 for an unknown reason and replaced it with handing out blue and red ribbons. Blue ribbons are awarded to students in year 11 going into year 12 who are the new leaders of the school. Red ribbons are presented to Junior School students who hold a leadership position. This narrative is important as it is a way of recognising students who occupy a position and has not been completely forgotten, but has been further developed.
