Go-Kart Challenge jacob Bradshaw

Problem Statement- Our task is to Design, build, and test a go-kart powered by a drill. We will also be competing our karts in 3 different courses. These courses will include drag strip (acceleration/top speed), road course (handling/control), and super mileage (endurance/efficiency).

We will be working on our go-kart from now until graduation.

We are given a $25 budget for extra materials that we can order.

We are provided with certain materials. These materials include:

  • 18V Drill (must be able to attach and detach quickly)
  • 1 sheet of 3/4" plywood
  • Miscellaneous hardware
  • Wood Glue

We also may provide outside materials. These materials include:

  • Wheels (required)
  • Chain (optional)
  • Gears (optional)

Build-

This is a picture of our cut out frame.

The finished go kart will include a seat with a hand break and steering system.
