A Wealth of Talent Returning SKB Instructors provide additional inspiration & advice

Every year, many of the world-class SKB instructors, who have taught in our previous workshops, return for the week... for informal creative efforts of their own. During the week they do amazing demos and special programs.

The Main Hall at the Headwaters Art Center is kind of the focal point for the SKB Workshop throughout the week. It's usually active every day with numerous demos, programs, and small group meetings.

Returning Instructors meet and work with individual attending artists in private sessions or small groups for unique training or discussions both in the center itself or out in the field working plein air.

This unique feature of the SKB Workshops provides attending artists with a wealth of additional inspiration and advice above and beyond what they get from the Main Curriculum Class Instructors.

Decisions & Choices In addition to the week-long class curriculum with our Main Instructors... the 10-12 additional world-class artist/instructors that return each year are also doing cool things all week long. And everyone has an assortment of decisions to make. Each day provides attending artists with numerous opportunities to observe wonderful demos, participate in small discussion groups, venture out in plein air outings with experienced painters, Q&A sessions, portfolio reviews, renew artistic friendships, or to get quiet personal career advice from experts.

In addition to the more informal opportunities these Returning Instructors provide... they also conduct other larger programs and they all participate in the big event every year... the One-Hour Quick Draw Paint Off.

But remember... we're in Wyoming!  Somehow the sheer beauty and grandeur of Wyoming's high country landscape effects everyone. It provides a fitting backdrop for all of our creative endeavors. And we all take some of it home with us.
