Teaching is my passion. I have been working for Chicago public Schools since 2003. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade in different CPS. This is my third year teaching bilingual kindergarten in this wonderful school, Federico Garcia Lorca Elementary school. I am a persistent person who truly believes in bilingual education. I believe that if English Learners students reach their potential, they will be able to succeed in life taking advantage of their special skill (communicate in two different languages). As a mother of two children, I consider education to be the key to be successful in life. Education provides (equips) us with the essential tools to face any obstacle in our journey. Therefore, I love working and sharing with parents and other family members the importance of participating and being involved in their child’s education.
Education
I received my Bachelors degree in early childhood education from (CREN). After working two years for the Chicago Public schools, I decided to go back to school and got my Master Degree in Instructional and Curriculum with ESL/Bilingual Education endorsement at American College Of Education.
