We have had a particularly sporty few days this week with children taking part in a netball festival, cross country and football. Well done to all the children involved.
I was delighted to hear how well our pupils did in the library's summer reading challenge this year too. An impressive 71 children completed the challenge which is nearly 30% of our total number on roll. Well done to all.
As you will see below we have Maz Evans in next week. This will also be the launch of our 'Year of Writing'. Our aim is to make writing as enjoyable and fun as possible and we have lots of plans for the year ahead. We'll let you know more soon.
Finally I am delighted to say that we were awarded £1500 by Ernest Cook Trust this week to purchase a range of books and cameras. Mrs Contardi has already started researching some of the exciting titles to buy that will hopefully inspire as many children as possible to read for pleasure.
