World War ll Spies Three spies who have served our country

The first spy was named Eric Erickson

  • Eric Erickson was born 1890 in America to Swedish immigrants.
  • He graduated from Cornell in 1921 and started working in oil field in 1921
  • then when he was in his mid 30's he became a Swedish citizens.
  • Which soon he became a WWII U.S. spy(Sweden Germany). He visited Germany more than 30x as many between 1939-1945.
  • And in that time he became friends with Nazi leaders Herman Goring and Hemrich Himmler which allowed him to study the production of synthetic oil
  • He then passed the information to the U.S.
  • Which helped with bombing raids later on.
  • He was honored by president Harry S. Traman
  • His last years living in Menton on the French Mediterranean coast
But in 1962 Alexander Klein wrote a book about him and his adventures called the counterfeit traitor which soon became a movie.
Arthur Komori
  • Arthur Komori was a Japanese American who served as a spy for the United States
  • Before the attack on Pearl Harbor he attended the university of Hawaii
  • He was recruited by the counter intelligence on March 13 1941
  • On April 22 1941 he was sent to the Philadelphians to gather intelligence and remained in internment with the Japanese people to seek into regarding war capability and plans of the enemy
  • In Sydney Australia he was in charge of maintaining the security of the installation by conducting security investigation.
  • Komori survived the war, continued to serve the Intelligence field, and was inducted into the MI Hall of Fame in 1988. He died in 2000 at the age of 85.
Fredrick Mayer
  • Fredrick Mayer was a German born American in Baden Germany to a Jewish family
  • His family immigrated to U.S. in 1938 one year before the WW ll broke out
  • He was enlisted in the U.S Army 1941 following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor
  • Became an OSS agent served in Australia.
  • Became an OSS agent served in Australia.
  • His motto do your best at everything everyday control what you can and control what you can and can't don't worry about it
  • Sadly he died at the age of 94
Fredrick Mayer was also apart of a group called inglorious bastards and they of course made a movie about them.
