Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship Application Opens January 15

The Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship is open to students beginning their sophomore year of college who are studying engineering or computer science that demonstrate financial need. Applicants must also meet the following criteria:

  • Majoring or planning to major in Aerospace, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Math, Physics, Information Systems or Information Assurance.
  • Freshman/sophomore undergraduates with a 3.0 or above GPA
  • Planning to attend an accredited U.S. four-year college or university
  • U.S. citizen

The Montgomery Community College Financial Aid Office has Federal Work Study jobs available for spring term 2019. If you are a current MCC student or plan to be in the spring, you may be eligible to participate in a work-study program. You must have a 2018-19 FAFSA on file in order to participate.

Please make an appointment with Tammy Owens in the Financial Aid Office before the end of term if you are interested. Qualified applicants could have a job as soon as January 7, 2019. Here's a peek at what's available.

Lab Assistant - HVAC program (Biscoe Center). $8.50/hr.

Receptionist - MCC Information Desk. $8/hr.

Teacher Assistant - Green Ridge Elementary School (Biscoe). $8.50/hr.

Classroom Assistant - Page Street Elementary School (Troy). $8.50/hr.

Teacher Assistant - Montgomery County Early College. $8/hr.

Spring Semester Tuition and Fees Payment Deadline Approaching

The 2019 spring payment deadline is rapidly approaching. If you have not paid for your spring semester classes or enrolled in the payment plan by December 12, 2018, you are at risk for being removed from your classes. Financial aid students, please check your Self Service for your financial aid status.


  • Online through WebAdvisor/Self Service
  • In person at MCC's Business Office
  • Nelnet payment plan

Final date for all payment options is Wednesday, December 12, 2018 or you must re-register and pay for classes on January 3rd.
