The Lifestyle of Worship A Bible Study

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17 NIV

The Father is constantly giving his good gifts to us. His blessings are not blocked by shadows or his changing moods. He is consistent in all his blessings.

Why don't you always sense God's good gifts? Why do you sometimes feel weighted down in your spirit? Feel like you are wandering in the dark?

It's all about reflection.

When we catch the Father's light (blessings) and reflect it back to him (worship), we will experience colour, life and vibrancy.
Read Psalm 103
The more we reflect the light of God's blessings in worship, the more colour and breakthrough we will experience in our lives.
The lifestyle of worship is all about living a life of thanksgiving.

Read Ephesians 5:18-20 & Colossians 3:15-17

In light of these passages, how often do you give God thanks?

Read Hebrews 13:15

Should you only praise God when you feel like it? Why not?

What specific way is mentioned to praise God (i.e. using what part of your body)?
