Influenza is a highly contagious viral infection of the respiratory passages causing fever, severe aching, and catarrh, and often occurring in epidemics.


*You can inhale flu droplets from people who have the flu sneeze or cough.

*Pick up germs from an object (Phones, Keyboards, ect.) Then transfer germs to your eyes, nose or mouth

*People with the virus are often contagious


*Fever over 100.4 F (38 C)

*Aching muscles, especially in your back, arms or legs

*Chills and Sweats


*Dry persistent cough

*Fatigue and weakness

*Nasal congestion

*Sore throat


*Bed, rest, plenty of fluids

*Taking an antiviral medication

*Pain relievers


*Annual flu vaccination for everyone over the age of 6 months

*Wash your hands often

*Stay away from people with the virus
