Huckleberry Finn was published in December 10 1884

Some of the most notable events were slavery. Slavery was a huge thing in Marks Twain's timeline. A lot of slaves could be notable. Mark Twain was very close with slaves. Politics just had the civil war to kee the nation together.

Twains stories commented on society, the government, and the world. He would often use satire. His book huckleberry Finn had a large amount of satire.
