Baptism symbolizes death to our old life and resurrection into a new life in Jesus Christ. It displays publicly our commitment to follow Jesus. You can sign-up for baptism on Stratford's mobile app or fill out the connect form on the link at the bottom of this webpage.
Join a small group
Small groups provide friendship with other Christians. In a small group, we learn how to strengthen our relationship with Jesus from one another. You can join a group by stopping by the Strat Groups table in the lobby or on Stratford's Mobile App.
Attending church services each week keeps us moving forward in our Christian journey. We experience an atmosphere of worship and also receive relevant message to equip us for our life.
tools for spiritual growth at home
All scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right.
The Bible is the Word of God. It is our instruction manual for Christian living. It gives us direction and because it "is alive and powerful" it transforms us from the inside out. When we pray, it's always good to have the Bible open, because Jesus will speak to our hearts through His Word and in prayer.
Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you. You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.
- Jeremiah 29:12-13
Prayer is our two-way communication with Jesus that builds our relationship with Him. When we pray to the Lord, He listens and responds to us. Just like a human friendship, Jesus wants us to speak with Him and He wants to speak to us. He does this by whispering into our inner Spirit. Jesus wants a friendship with you and that happens through prayer.
