Native American Mascots By Berenice Moreno-PereZ

I do think teams and schools should be allowed to use Native American mascots

One reason that teams and schools should be allowed to use Native Americans mascots is because most native Americans see this as respect or honor. According to this article a native American said "They honor us". This means that they don't see teams and schools mascots from around the world as offensive or disrespectful. They see this as honor.

Another reason teams and schools should be allowed to use Native American mascots is that it makes the reputation of the Native Americans better. In the article it is said “Our team name captures the best of who we are and who we can be, by staying true to our history and honoring the deep and enduring values our name represents". This means that the name of Native Americans represents very good things, and if they spread that message it will help thier reputation get better.
