MyCity

Web

Mobile

Evaluation

This website works very well, as it looks good on both desktop and mobile. The images and the text on the site stay basically the same size, although look bigger on the mobile phone screen, however once the window is sized down they do rearrange themselves to fit the screen and the different links at the top right all move into a 'hamburger' icon, still at the top right.

Evaluation

This website has the same kind of layout as the 'MyCity' site. However in the BBC site the images and text shrink with the window whilst rearranging. the notification bar at the top and the category bar underneath both go into their own little icons. The bell icon for the notifications and the 'Hamburger' icon for the different sections of news.

MVMT Watches

Evaluation

The MVMT watches website has a very simple yet modern and stylish website using boxes to show the different categories of watches. This works well with a responsive website as the boxes shrink with the window and on mobile, still looks modern, very stylish and a very easy to use site. The top menu bar moves into a hamburger icon and the shopping basket moves across from it.

YouTube

Evaluation

The YouTube site is cleanly laid out using different rows to show your different subscriptions and a sidebar to choose from different categories in YouTube, i.e trending videos. When you open the site on mobile the layout is slightly changed the homepage videos are still there but enlarged and the side bar is now moved into four different categories at the top along with a search bar.

City of Glasgow College

Evaluation

This website is well laid out as it uses a different coloured text box for each different article. When sized down the image on the desktop version disappears, only on the top article, every one after that has the related image above the article. the different articles all stack up and the image shrink, however the text stays around the same size and the links at the top of the page all go into a hamburger icon.
