WHAT IS IT??
Hepatitis b is a viric cronic illness transmitted by blood, saliva or semen that causes an inflammation of the liver and has as one of its main symptoms: the jaundice.
As well as jaundice (whites of your eyes) there are some other symptoms:
- has abdominal pain,
- dark urine,
- joint pain,
- loss of apetite,
- nause and vomiting,
- weakness and fatigue
- and yellowing of your skin.
Get a shot of hepatitis B immunoglobulin and the first of three shots of the hepatitis B vaccine.
Home treatment-such as eating well, drinking plenty of fluids, and avoiding alcohol and drugs-usually will relieve your symptoms.
You may be given medicine to treat an acute infection (isn't done unless a person is very sick)
