Quadratic Equations Carter Mcabier and Ethan thorne

Quadratic pictures in the real world

Using a quadratic image to write an equation

Point A (-5,1) Point B (-4,4) Point C (-2,7) Point D (2,7) Point E (5,1)

I used these points to calculate my regression equation in my calculator. y=-.28x^2 - .02x + 8.2

I used my regression equation to predict the height of the parabola when x=6 on our coordinate plain. y=-.28(6)^2 - .02(6) + 8.2 (6, -1.76)

y= 2x^2 - 5x - 3
