Duff Elementary

RISING IN TRADITION; THRIVING THROUGH CHANGe

The cooler temperatures this week ushered in the first day of fall and the end of the first six weeks. Monday begins the second six weeks and opportunities for students to set goals and monitor their progress. Every student this year is setting a goal and tracking their improvement. When students collect and track their academic data they take more ownership of their learning and it often increases their motivation. This is a great time to speak with your child about how they progressing with their goal.

Next week is our first round of curriculum assessments (CAs) for students in grades 3rd - 6th. This data helps us celebrate student successes and identify gaps in learning and create action plans for implementing interventions or extensions to meet students where they are right now. Please make it a point to send your child off each morning with a good breakfast, a hug, and encouraging words that prepare them for success.
