#9 - Subtracting Decimals By: Morgan and Braeden

This problem wants us to subtract 38.491 from 49.88. Line it up like this: 49.88 -39.491
step 1: line The numbers up vertically with 49.88 on top.
Step 2: add a zero onto the end of 49.88 to make it 49.880. You must do this because the place values are not lined up and the problem is easier if they are lined up.

Step 3: move the decimal down to the bottom of the equation.

step 4: Subtract the two numbers
after computing the problem, the answer should be 11.389.
hope you have learned a little something form us and this presentation!!!
