Helpful information for addressing student and parent questions

Using annotation icons is a great way to structure the reading. Have students pull examples from the text and explain their reasoning.

Add visuals and set the expectation for students to include unit Related Vocabulary in their Essential Details on SIM devices.

Create a question using the Readiness Standard for the "So What?" statement. By providing an Academic Framework you provide the student with sentence stems, vocabulary, and example of an appropriate response.

Help students with Transferring and Synthesis by using the "Extend your Understanding" section. Create questions or scenarios related to their world.
