RMC vs Nipissing Friday - 2018/11/16

Kingston, ON - A short-handed goal wasn't enough to propel the Paladins (3-9-1) past the Nipissing Lakers (2-8-0) on Friday night at Constantine Arena, as the visitors earned a 5-3 win.

After Dan Desrochers scored the first goal of the game to give Nipissing the lead, Seamus Maguire responded for the Paladins with his second of the year.

Liam Stagg scored his fifth of the year to give RMC the lead less than a minute later, redirecting the puck into the goal.

1st Intermission

RMC led Nipissing 2-1 after 20 minutes.

After Erik Campbell equalized for Nipissing, Déric Boudreau found the back of the net short-handed to retake the lead for the Paladins.

A pair of goals from Brock Morrison and Colin Campbell restored Nipissing's lead.

2nd Intermission

With 20 minutes left, Nipissing led RMC 4-3.

RMC was down two goals late in the game after Colby Tower added to the Lakers lead. Despite pulling the goalie, the Paladins couldn't close the gap.

RMC's Brad Van Schubert finished the game with 35 saves.

RMC plays another home game on Saturday night at 7:00 PM against the Laurentian Voyageurs (4-7-0).
