We were most grateful for all the volunteers throughout the event. A special note of thank you to following people who contributed a lot of time and energy to making sure the event ran so smoothly - Jeanne Van Warmelo, Edwina Spooner, Catherine Manners, Naomi Granger, Sundeep Dhanda, Mick Monteleone, David Harris and Kelly Oldfield.

This is an initiative supported by our Home and School Committee and the Student Representative Council. The role of which is to bring attention to and focus on those in need outside of our own community. This term we will be encouraging our children to provide Christmas gifts to others.

For the third year running we will be supporting Operation Christmas Child –sending a shoe box of gifts to those in need overseas. Last year we provided over 130 boxes which was a great effort! Boxes and instructions will be available shortly.

In addition, this year we will be offering assistance to the Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal providing gifts for Australian children through the Salvation Army and Mission Australia. A Christmas tree will be set up in the School in November which will have gift cards listing specific present and age group required for you to take and return with a gift.

Any questions in relation to these two projects, please contact Mel Harris from the Home and School Committee melinda@spect.com.au or Mr Crabtree.
