Fitness News

Achieve your goals

The New Year has started and the fitness center is packed with people trying to keep that New Year’s resolution. It’s time to get a trainer! I can’t stress this enough. February is the time of year that those resolutions start to take a back seat to other things. The rainy days and cold weather can easily put your mind in the “I can skip my workout today” mode. DON’T!!! With a trainer to answer to, you won’t think twice. Statistically, people who work with a trainer/coach are more likely to stick to their programs and get to their goals.

Trainers are there to encourage, support and assist you in times of need. They ensure you are not only exercising safely but can curtail your workout to be more efficient and effective, saving that much needed time. They will challenge your body to prevent it from hitting plateaus. (Plateaus are usually the cause when you stop seeing results. They are the number one thing, for most, keeping those resolutions to from becoming reality). Trainers can help you make better choices when it comes to eating or even help find hidden calories in your current diet you didn’t know were there.

Which explains why, virtually all major sports figures and Olympic Athletes use personal trainers to keep their “winning edge”.

Simply put, the surest way to get results is with professional help. So if your fitness goals are really important to you, why go it alone when you don’t have to? Sign up with a trainer today. Bring a friend and get $10 off each session.

Trainer Tip:

Substitute out the sugar! Use apple sauce or other fruits/veggies. Sugar is in everything and is one of the most addictive legal substances on the market. It is the leading cause of obesity. Sugar takes on many names and if you aren’t careful, you may just be consuming more than you think. Remember, just because something says it’s sugar free doesn’t necessarily mean so.

Is everywhere

The 5 most commonly used, sneaky sugar names are:

Corn syrup

Sorghum

Cane sugar

High-fructose corn syrup

Fruit juice concentrate
