Tacos Asha Varma

  • Flour tortillas
  • Chicken strips
  • Green bell peppers
  • Onions
  • Tomatoes
  • Cilantro
  • Jalapeños
  • Scallions
  • Lettuce
  • Cheese (of choice)
  • Sour cream
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Chili Powder
  • Taco seasoning

  • Step 1: Wash and chop finely: onions, tomatoes, cilantro, jalapeños, and scallions to make the pico de gallo. Also, wash and chop the green bell peppers and more onions into strips.
  • Step 2: Add the ingredients for the pico de gallo into a bowl and mix together with salt and black pepper. Set the pico de gallo aside.
  • Step 3: Defrost the chicken strips, if necessary, while chopping the lettuce.
  • Step 4: Turn on the stove and throw the chicken strips and bell peppers into the pot. Let them cook for a bit, then keep flipping the pan so it doesn’t burn.
  • Step 5: Add some salt and as much chili powder as you wish to add spice, and mix.
  • Step 6: Then, sprinkle taco seasoning over the chicken and mix to give it color and taste.
  • Step 7: When the chicken is fully cooked, set it aside.
  • Step 8: Arrange all of the toppings in a line to create a “make your own” taco station.
  • Step 9: Get a flat pan and heat up tortillas on the stove.
  • Step 10: Go down the line and put in ingredients of your choice to create your own taco.
