September 14, 2022

Depart your hometown and take an overnight flight across the Atlantic. Enjoy in-flight entertainment and meal service as you travel to meet all of your Sisters in Dublin!

September 15, 2022 - Dublin

Land at Dublin Airport and complete customs and immigration formalities before meeting our Tour driver/guide, who will welcome us to Ireland. We'll then have a full Irish breakfast at a local venue with our group before setting off with a local guide who will show us around Dublin.

The city has been molded through the centuries by economic, political and artistic influences that has shaped its architecture. Embark on a guided walking tour of Trinity College to see the Old Library, which displays the Book of Kells. After the tour, we will motor to our nearby hotel to check into our rooms and settle in.

In the evening, join your Sisters for a welcome drink at the hotel bar, followed by dinner. Hotel: Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Dublin (city center)

September 16, 2022 - Wicklow Mountains

We will depart Dublin this morning and drive south to see the delightful scenery of the Wicklow Mountains. This mountain range runs north to south across County Wicklow with its highest peak, Lugnaquilla, at 3039 feet. If the clouds are hanging low enough, you can literally touch them!

In County Wicklow, we will stop to see the 6th century monastic ruins of Glendalough. The visitor centre explains how St. Kevin founded this settlement at a time when Christianity was burgeoning throughout Ireland.

Next, we'll visit the Dunbrody Emigrant Ship, a replica of a sailing vessel built in 1845 to transport emigrants from Ireland to North America. The visit will give you insight as to what life on board ship was like as well as filling you in on the history of the famine years.

We will continue to Waterford and check into our hotel. Then, we'll be taking a leisurely walking tour of Waterford with a local guide. Stroll along Merchant's Quay before passing the Clock Tower, Reginald's Tower, City Hall, Theatre Royal and many other historical places. After dinner, we'll return to our hotel for dinner. September 17, 2022 - House of Waterford Crystal

We're going to add a bit of sparkle to your day by touring the House of Waterford Crystal. While here, we can learn about glass blowing, cutting and see one-of-a-kind masterpieces. Then, we'll depart Waterford and travel to Cobh and set off on a guided walking tour known as the Titanic Trail, which will show us around the streets of Cobh. The tour reveals locations and incidents directly connected to the Titanic and many other aspects of the port's history.

Next, we'll drive to Blarney, where you can climb the battlements of Blarney Castle and kiss the famous "Stone of Eloquence." We'll continue our travels to Killarney, our home for the next two nights. Check into our hotel, settle into your room and dine with our Sisters at the hotel restaurant this evening. September 18, 2022 - Ring of Kerry

We'll set off to explore the Ring of Kerry, which consists of over 100 miles of marvelous scenery. See some of Ireland’s highest peaks on one side of the road and a coastline scattered with golden beaches and rocky headlands on the other. There will also be plenty of stops to take-in the scenery and to snap photos. Then travel to the Gap of Dunloe to visit Moriarty's Gift Shop. Since the shop opened in 1964, Moriarty's has become a landmark destination for shoppers.

We'll stop to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or pub before you drive along Moll's Gap, a panoramic route visited by thousands of tourists each year and back into Killarney. Enjoy a free evening to explore Killarney at your leisure and dine at one of the city’s many lively pubs or restaurants tonight. Hotel: Rose Hotel, Tralee

September 19, 2022 - Tarbert Ferry

After leaving Killarney this morning, we'll be taking a short ferry ride across the River Shannon Estuary. Then, we'll drive along the coast of County Clare to visit the Cliffs of Moher, which overlook the shimmering Atlantic Ocean. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince along with the Princess Bride have scenes that were filmed at this stunning landmark.

We'll continue to Galway where upon arrival, we'll join a local guide for a gentle walking tour of Galway. See the medieval city walls, Lynch’s Castle and the narrow streets. Then, check into your nearby hotel for dinner and an overnight stay. Hotel: Hardiman Hotel, Galway

September 20, 2022 - Connemara Sightseeing

We're going to travel through the Connemara Region to admire the sweeping views of bogland and misty mountains. As we drive along, we'll see many sheep that graze freely and tracts of bogland where some people hand-cut peat for home heating.

Next, we'll be stopping at Kylemore Abbey for a tour of the elegant mansion and church, set beside a tranquil lake. We'll learn of the tales of tragedy, romance and royal visits. You'll also be able to walk through the magical Victorian walled garden.

How lucky are we? We'll be taking High Tea with a fine assortment of pastries to snack on at a local venue before we head back to Galway, where we'll dine at the hotel this evening. Hotel: Hardiman Hotel, Galway

September 21, 2022 - Atlantic Sheepdogs

Well depart Galway and stop at Atlantic Sheepdogs, where you will get the opportunity to experience farm life and see some of the world’s smartest sheepdogs working in their natural environment.

Next, we'll head to Ardara to see demonstrations of spinning, weaving and knitting at Triona Designs.

We'll then continue to Derry and join a local guide for a walking tour to see the Guildhall, St. Columb’s Cathedral, the Diamond and the 16th century walls. After the tour, we'll motor to our nearby hotel to check in. Enjoy dinner this evening with your Sisters at the hotel restaurant. Hotel: Everglades Hotel, Derry

September 22, 2022 - Giant's Causeway

Today, we'll travel to the northern coast of Ireland and visit the Giant’s Causeway, an impressive area of hexagonal columns formed over 60 million years ago by cooling lava, which has given rise to many legends.

Then, we're going to head south to Belfast and visit Titanic Belfast to learn about the evolution of the Titanic from concept until her ill-fated end in 1912.

Then, we'll continue to Annagassan to enjoy dinner at the Glyde Inn, which also offers breathtaking views of Dundalk Bay. Glyde Inn is recognized for its quality and excellent food, which is locally sourced. After dinner, we'll make our way to our hotel in Dublin, check in and enjoy a free night. Hotel: Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Dublin

When we return to Dublin, we'll all be joining a terrific Pub Tour where we can visit famous pubs and bars in the Temple Bar area, and sample some more of Irish culture and entertainment.

September 23, 2022 - Hop On / Hop Off Bus

Spend the day at leisure in Dublin, where you can choose from a wide variety of pursuits. Use your Hop on Hop off pass to visit several places so you can get better acquainted with the city. Your pass also includes a voucher for entrance to one of the following of your choice: Guinness Storehouse, Teeling Distillery, EPIC Ireland or GPO. There are also plenty of museums of Irish interest such as the National Museum, the National Gallery or the Writers Museum. You may also want to shop along Nassau Street, the pedestrianized Grafton Street or Henry Street. In the evening, you are free to choose from the many restaurants and pubs that Dublin has to offer.

September 24, 2022

Sadly, today our time together in Ireland has come to its final day. We'll transfer to Dublin Airport together in our private transportation for our return flight to the US.

NOTICE ABOUT AIRFARE: We will be offering group airfare, economy class from either JFK or Newark. Airfare pricing will not be available until November 2021. We will need a minimum of 10 people who opt for group air. IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT EVERYONE ARRIVE IN DUBLIN AT THE SAME TIME FOR OUR GROUP TRANSPORTATION AND THE START OF THE TOUR.
