We want to wish everyone in the RIT community a happy and healthy Thanksgiving break!

The university will be closed beginning at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 and will re-open on Monday, November 28, 2016.

The RIT Department of Public Safety will remain open 24/7 and can be reached at 585-475-3333 or via text at 585-205-8333. For emergencies, please call 911.

Campus Services & Hours

Counseling & Psychological Services

  • Wednesday, November 23rd - 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Thursday, November 24th - Sunday, November 27th - Closed

Residence Life

Our Residence Halls & Apartments do not close for Thanksgiving and students are welcome to stay in their assigned locations for the break.

The Residence Life Service Desk will close on Wednesday, November 23rd at 2 p.m. and reopen on Sunday, November 27th at 11 a.m.

Residence Life offices will be closed for Thanksgiving however the Center for Residence Life will provide continuous on-call coverage throughout the break with both professional and para-professional staff.

  • Wednesday, November 23rd - 7 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Thursday, November 24th - Saturday, November 26th - Closed
  • Sunday, November 27th - 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Student Health Center

  • Wednesday, November 23rd - 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
  • Thursday, November 24th - Sunday, November 27th - Closed

For non-emergency medical concerns, please call 585-475-2255 and choose the option for the after-hours nurse service.
