What To Expect
1| Studio Visit
First, I’ll have you come out to the studio or chat on the phone to discuss how you want your newborn to be photographed. We’ll sip on some coffee and we will talk about your vision for the shoot. We will talk about colors, wraps, props and any other ideas you have for your shoot. This is where the creativity starts to flow.
2| Set a date
In order to hold your date, a $200 retainer fee will be placed. This can be paid by cash, check or credit card at the time of booking.
Newborn portrait sessions are performed in my studio. I am very careful to provide a warm, safe and comfortable environment for your new little one. We use a white noise machine to comfort the baby, as well as a space heater to keep them snuggly and warm. Because of this, I arrive dressed for a warm space and I recommend you do too!
4| The photo shoot
Prior to your newborn portrait session, you will be provided with some instructions to set your baby up for an easy photo shoot. When you arrive, a good long feeding and a swaddle gets your little one in that perfect deep sleep. The most important part is patience. Be prepared for the session to last 2-4 hours.
5| After the shoot
After the shoot, I will cull through all the images. I select the best of the best images and add the extra POP to take the images to the next level. After I edit the photos, we set up a time to reveal your images in person at our ordering session.
6| Premiere ordering session
Within 3 weeks of your photo shoot, I invite you back to the studio where I have your photographs printed and ready to go home with you. We look through them and decide which images you love most.
What you buy is entirely up to you.
