Love is the brightest light of all

I met Tamsor and his newlywed wife, Ismawati for the first time on 7 December 2016 in Padang Sidempuan, Indonesia. I was taken aback by how young they are. Tamsor is 23 years old with traumatic cataracts and Ismawati is just 18 years old.

In year 2013, Tamsor had a workplace accident. He got electrocuted by PLN cable (power line). He didn't realise it at first, slowly his visions are impacted and this year, he is totally unable to see with the exception of Hand Movement at close range.

Dated for 2 years before she proposed to marry him 2 months ago, not knowing that he one day could see again. A simple girl with a simple wish to work and to take care of him for the rest of his life.

Moment before surgery, I asked "what's your wish if you can see again ?" Without any hesitation, he said "I wanna care for orphans"

The surgery is performed on 9 December 2016

Tamsor's whole body suffered burns from the workplace accident

We hardly slept a wink that night. The excitements mixed with worries, what if ? Every surgery has risks. We are hoping that the traumatic cataracts does not involve the retina or optic nerve.

A New Vision's volunteer asked "Can you see ? How many fingers ?"

The first drop of tears when he's finally able to see his "light" again
