WE'VE ACCOMPLISHED GREAT THINGS!

Last week the Amazing Grace Executive Council made a presentation during in-person worship and worship online concerning the amazing accomplishments of the congregation during 2020, including the construction of a tabernacle chapel, the painting of the interior of the church, major repairs on the air conditioning systems at the sanctuary and annex, the grading of the front lawn and resowing of the lawn, the removal of two dead trees, the creation of a media production center, and the birthing of our digital ministries featuring a phone app, a redesigned website. Worship, learning and meeting capabilities were made available through our new Amazing Grace applications on Roku, Amazon, Apple, Facebook, YouTube and Zoom. All of these developments were achieved in 2020 by the hard work and donations of members who worked diligently while the world isolated due to COVID19.

You may not have seen it up close but Amazing Grace was open and expanding our ministry during the year of the pandemic. Our pastor, Tim Bolick and many Amazing Grace members worked tirelessly during this period to pivot our ministry to meet the challenges of 2020. As the result of these efforts the congregation ended the year in reasonably good condition financially and spiritually.

The time is now for the members of Amazing Grace to rise up in meeting our commitment to the 2021 budget made last November. We each must do our part in the support of this ministry. We cannot expect others to pick up the part we are not doing. We believe and teach tithing (10 % giving) as the biblical norm for stewardship for committed Christians. We strongly encourage all members of Amazing Grace to give at the 10% level or increase their giving toward the biblical tithe. Working together, we can continue as a bold mission outreach community of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.

JUNETEENTH 150 Years Later!

Living Lutheran is the magazine of faith and life of this church. Juneteeth is celebrated Saturday, June 19th. This date marks the end of slavery in America. Click here! to read an article about this important part of our American heritage and the work of justice in the name of Christ.
