Intro to Ceramics Said alrubaey

Creativity means: making some piece of art using your brain's imagination. Not everyone's piece of art looked the same. Creative usually results in different designs and shapes.

The hardest challenge for me was wrapping the clay slaps around the newspaper when I was making the Jack Lantern. I tried many times before I got the shape I wanted. It took me the whole period. I asked Mrs. Dean for help. I like how my Jack Lantern looks.

Dot Day Circles / White Stamp Clay

I used geometric shapes, all the same size and stamped different texture in each one. I chose complementary colors to glaze them.

Mom's Red Texture Cylinder / White Textured Clay Slab

I like the geometric shape of the cylinder. I liked being able to put the slabs together. I pick out the red glaze color to show the design.

Ahmad's Jack O Lantern / Red Soft Clay Slabs

I used red clay, wrapping the slab around newspaper to develop a form. I did not use paint to color the Jack Lantern. Asymmetrical balance was used on this piece of art.

Mr. Dad Potato Heads

I liked working on the different parts of Mr. Potato Head. It let me be creative and I had fun doing it. I used organic shapes and geometric shapes.

Japanese Wabi Sabi Tea Bowl / Red Clay Pinch Pot

I liked the balance of this project. I used an asymmetrical balance. The wabi sapi tea bowl's colors complemented each other.
