Welcome to our final newsletter of the year. Firstly, well done to both reception and our KS1 classes this week who performed brilliantly in their Christmas nativities. They did so well and I very much hope they enjoyed their time on stage. Good luck to our KS2 children for next week.
As some of you will know, we will also be bidding a sad farewell to Miss Wilson next week who is leaving due to personal reasons. I know she will be missed by parents, teachers and children alike and we wish her the very best of luck for the future. Mrs Hamilton will be taking over in Rabbits class after the Christmas break.
Finally I would like to thank you for your continued support. As a whole school community we can look back at a hugely successful 2018 with our dedicated FOMPs team raising over £20000. In 2019 we look forward to opening our wonderful outdoor classroom and providing children with a wealth of outside learning opportunities.
We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy new year.
Congratulations in week 6 to: Theo, William, Annabella, Trystan, Omid, Penny and Patricia

Well Done Reuben
Well done to Reuben for receiving your 1st Blue Peter badge this week. Reuben drew a fantastic picture of a Hot Air Balloon and used all of his writing skill to produce a great letter to the Blue Peter team.
Christmas Cross Country
This morning our year 4 children took part in the re-arranged Christmas Cross Country. They were joined by 660 pupils from the other Chippenham schools all dressed in their festive finery! Father Christmas, Rudolph and the Elves warmed the children up with a Christmas dance routine. Then it was onto the main event, the cross country run around the fields of Hardenhuish and Sheldon. The morning finished with hot chocolate and marshmallows. Thanks to the Chippenham Sports partnership for a fabulous morning.

Foundation Stage children are not directly involved in the Carol service and a separate letter was sent to Foundation Stage parents on Wednesday.
Children should not bring bags into school on this day. Packed lunches need to be put into disposable bags, rather than lunchboxes. This is to ensure that children are not carrying anything with them to the church as space is limited.
