"To Kill a Mockingbird" KEY WORDS

Racism- Is when you are prejudice or discriminated because you are a certain race. Its a belief that ones own race is superior.

The Great Depression-The Great Depression was an economic slump in North America, Europe, it lasted for about 10 years. It was a time were there was little food and the economy went down very low.

Women's Rights- The women's rights was too make sure the women had the same rights as men. The women were sometimes known as just property or as other terms sold as sex slaves.

Civil Rights Movement- Was a struggle for the African Americans in the mid 1950's to the 1960's. It was too get blacks the same rights as the whites. They wanted to be able to be able to get jobs, houses, education and even the right to vote. Most important they wanted too be free.
