Utah State vs UNLV — Men's basketball January 7, 2017

The Aggies knocked off the UNLV Rebels 79-63 in the Spectrum behind a huge performance from freshman guard Koby McEwen (28 points, six assists, seven rebounds). The win moves USU to 2-2 in conference play this season.

"We got Koby going and we were off to the races." — head coach Tim Duryea

Koby was on fire in the second half, scoring 25 of his 28 points and knocking down all five of his 3-pointers.

"What do you say? The kid is special. He can do it all." — junior guard Julion Pearre

With less than eight minutes left in the game, the Aggies led 57-52. McEwen knocked down three treys in the next four possessions, then the rest of the team got involved as senior Shane Rector, Pearre and sophomore Quinn Taylor all hit 3-pointers of their own. By the time the onslaught was over, USU had a 16-point lead.

"When you get in that mode you try not to force things and just go with the flow... I just gave them the confidence to knock down shots." — Koby McEwen
