ROWLAND HALL ATHLETICS // FALL 2021

UPPER SCHOOL ATHLETICS

It was another successful fall sports season for Winged Lion Athletics: our teams earned four region titles (girls tennis, boys golf, girls soccer, and boys cross country) and all five programs qualified for postseason state competition, with three capturing the second-place trophy in their respective State Championship contests (boys golf, girls soccer, and boys cross country). These are some amazing results for one of the smallest schools in 2A!

Congratulations to our outstanding staff of coaches—Rich Francey, Susan Daynes, and Cory Levetan (girls tennis); Stacey Camacho and Maxwell Sueoka (boys golf); Mark Oftedal, Laura Johnson, and Giselle Slotboom (cross country); Colette Jepson-Smith, Annie Hawkins, and Haylee Cacciacarne (girls soccer); and Kendra Tomsic, Kathy Howa, Chloe Coleman-Houghton, and Kacie Turcuato (volleyball)—as well as to the 113 student-athletes who wore the green and white this fall. You represented yourselves and our school community with much heart and pride. Way to go, Winged Lions!

Kendra Tomsic, Director of Athletics
