Over 60% of the states agricultural revenues is from calves and cattle. Other animals include hogs, sheep, lamb and chicken eggs. Apples are the leading food crop. Other field crops are wheat, corn, and hay.
Some foods that the pioneers would eat was potatoes and oysters. In the 1890's sugar wheat became very popular. In the 1880's meat was raised across the whole state.
The official state fish is the Greenback Cutthroat Trout. Some sheep farmers use llamas to guard their sheep.
