A community clinical rotation during her RN-Bachelor of Science in Nursing program inspired Jenni (Limbert) Dosek, ’02, to enter the field of obstetrics and gynecology. After earning her BSN, she worked for two years before starting a master’s program.
Now, Jenni works as a nurse practitioner in an OB/GYN practice in Piqua, Ohio. She’s worked in women’s health for more than nine years and says there are plenty of experiences that make it rewarding. “It’s great for women to be together and educate each other,” she says. “(Nurses) are the providers, but we’re still women, just like (the patients) are.”
Jenni earned her associate in nursing from a community college in Lima, Ohio, before she went directly into the RN-BSN online program at UC College of Nursing. She says the program prepared her well for the nursing field and provided a solid foundation on which to build her master’s education.
