Jazz A brief history of jazz created my david lopez and rito diaz

New Orleans was founded by The Creoles back in the early 1800s and slowly the musical traditions from Europe and Africa came into New Orleans and then came Jazz for now over 100 years

As more people moved upwards towards Chicago for job opportunities, people brought their jazz with them. African Americans were the first of these musicians, but whites such as Benny Goodman began to write swing, a descendant of jazz, as well.

Recording companies saw great opportunities in this new genre, so they recorded as many jazz groups as possible. With the gramophone becoming more popular, it was even easier to obtain this brand new genre.
