Having a good time at the Abernethy Adventure Centre, in Killin, Scotland, these children were on a weekend residential trip organised by North East Sensory Services, based in Aberdeen, whose mission is to achieve independence for blind and deaf people. Most of its income comes from local authority contracts, but it also provides extra services funded from charitable income. The Adamson Trust was pleased to help with a grant toward the weekend trip at the start of the summer holidays in 2018 for children with serious hearing and/or sight loss. Only 10 children can be accommodated on the outing, and it is always oversubscribed.
