Your dining experience at UVM is more than great food. It is an experience centered on culinary expertise, fresh ingredients, healthy options, and a shared sense of environmental and social responsibility.

UVM Dining has always prioritized the health and safety of our guests and staff. Now, more than ever, we are committed to ensuring students have access to safe, nutritious food by implementing new standards and technology during this unprecedented time.

Meal Plan Options:

Unlimited Meal Plan

Meal Swipes into our "Traditional" Dining Halls + 150 Retail Points + Three Guest Meals per semester

This meal plan allows students to use up to three "Meal" swipes per meal period, seven days a week. Swipes can be used to dine-in (with occupancy limits) or meals to-go from our traditional dining halls via our mobile food ordering app. Retail Points can be used in any of our retail dining locations.

Flex Plan

160 Meal Swipes + 900 Retail Points + 3 Guest Meals per semester

Enjoy the best of both worlds with a mix of "Meal" swipes and Retail Points for maximum flexibility and variety. "Meal" swipes can be used for either dine-in (with occupancy limits) or meals to-go from our traditional dining halls via our mobile food ordering app. Students are allowed to use up to three "Meal" swipes per meal period, seven days a week.This plan covers approximately 10 "Meal" swipes and 60 Retail Points per week.

Retail Points Plan

1450 Retail Points + 25 Meal Swipes per semester

Love our Retail Point locations? This is the plan for you! Retail Points are a declining balance account and can be used at any on-campus dining locations including our traditional dining halls. Plus, you get 25 "Meal" swipes from our traditional dining halls (dine-in or mobile order). Students are allowed to use up to three "Meal" swipes per meal period, seven days a week.

Meal Plan Switches

You have the first two weeks of each semester to make changes to your meal plan. If you do not change your meal plan you will automatically be enrolled in the plan from the previous semester. Visit our Meal Plan website for more details or to switch your meal plan.

Traditional Dining Halls...

  • You can dine-in (with occupancy limits) or get a meal to-go via mobile ordering
  • Dining spaces varying in sizes, each with their own unique layout
  • Feature similar stations that serve a varied daily menu
  • A variety of seating options

Retail Points

Retail Points are a declining balance account; they add flexibility and convenience to your meal plan.

  • One Retail Point is valued at one dollar
  • Budgeting is required
  • Accepted at all on-campus dining locations (some locations are Retail Points only)
  • Retail Point balances roll from fall to spring semester but not the next academic year

Retail Locations...

  • Meals-to-go or dine-in
  • Options include cafes, local dining destinations and convenience stores
  • Favorites include sushi, smoothies, burritos, crepes, bagel sandwiches, and UVM ice cream!

Guest Meals

  • Used to treat a friend to a meal in the traditional dining halls.

FAQ

Can I add Retail Points to my account?

  • Yes! The balance of any additional Retail Points added roll semester to semester, year to year as long as you are at UVM

Food Allergies & Intolerances

We know that some students have food allergies or intolerances. If this is true for you, we highly encourage you to contact our Registered Dietitian, so we know how best to accommodate you.

Simple Servings

Offers plated entrees for lunch and dinner made without the seven most common allergens: peanuts, tree-nuts, shellfish, wheat, soy, milk, and eggs.

  • Located at Harris Millis Dining and Central Campus Dining
  • Procedures are in place to control for cross-contact
  • Separate equipment, utensils, storage spaces, and preparation areas

Four

Offers hot plated entrees free of four of the top allergens: gluten, peanuts, tree-nuts, and shellfish.

  • Four is located at Redstone Unlimited and The Marketplace
  • Like Simple Servings, we take precautions to reduce the risk of cross-contact

My Zone

Our gluten, peanut, and tree nut-free pantry.

  • Located in each traditional dining hall
  • Offers gluten, nut-free pantry items and a standard hot foods menu for dine-in
  • Students should request items or hot meals at Simple Servings or with a supervisor
  • Some Myzone items are available via mobile ordering

Vegan and Vegetarian Options

Across campus, our vegetarian and vegan menu items are indicated with a "V" for vegetarian or "VG" for vegan. Mindful, our healthy choice offering that meets specific nutrient criteria, is shown with a heart-shaped apple.

  • Use Bite Universities, our mobile food ordering app, for a to-go meal from our traditional dining halls or retail locations. Mobile orders from the traditional dining halls allows for one entree and two sides
