The office as a whole was up 5% in Lives (+37.19) and 18% in New Clients (+53.31)! It was our best year ever!!
Office PPA User Rankings
A PPA User is defined as someone who has delivered a minimum of 60 2+ Module plans over a 12 month rolling period. The advisors highlighted in green are on track to be PPA Users for 2017!!
Internship Production
The Norwalk office finished out the Awards year strong and once again led the Seiden Agency in internship production! Our office was ranked #36 out of 205 district offices across the country!

Welcome Stefanie Carias!
Stefanie will be joining us for the summer as an intern helping with recruiting as well as general office functions. She is going into her senior year at Southern Connecticut State University majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. Stefanie is from Stamford but during the year she lives on campus. She loves to be involved and is a part of a sorority Delta Phi Epsilon. Stefanie is also a Coordinator of senior programming. Stef’s family is from Guatemala and she will be the first one who graduates college with a 4 year degree!

Robert Reni, CFP®, ChFC® has led a financial services team affiliated with Northwestern Mutual since 2003. Robert specializes in supporting individuals and closely held businesses concerning a variety of business, estate, investment, insurance, and pension planning decisions. Robert has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification through the CFP board of standards and the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designation through the American College. Robert is one of a select group of advisors within the Northwestern Mutual system that is able to provide fee-only planning advice. Robert’s services include both fee-only and non-fee planning services.

Ed joined Northwestern Mutual in October of 2008 and has almost a decade of experience in the financial services industry. He began his career as a financial representative after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in finance and economics from the AACSB accredited School of Management at Marist College. In 2011, Ed transitioned into being a financial advisor. He continued his studies and expertise by becoming certified in financial planning, and obtained his CFP® designation along with his CLTC designation.
Home Office Pacemaker Contest
The Pacemaker contest takes place every year between close of business in May and the close of business in June.
2017 CONTEST DATES: MAY 24 – JUNE 21
Contest Eligibility
• All financial representatives are eligible to compete for the Pacemaker Contest.
• A financial representative’s contract type at the end of the contest period will determine the production required to qualify for the Pacemaker Contest.
Contest Production Requirements
• Full-time / part-time / senior financial representatives: 8 submitted gross Lives
• Interns: 3 submitted gross lives
• Applications: Must be signed/dated (i.e. part 1 date) and the payment processed by the home office during the contest period.

New in 2017 – Getting off to a strong start in the 2017-2018 Awards Year has multiple benefits and now the Northwestern Mutual Foundation will make a $100,000 donation to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation’s Travel for Care Program on behalf of all Pacemaker Contest qualifiers. Recognizing the financial burden that families often encounter, The Travel for Care Program offers assistance to families who face the need to travel for childhood cancer treatment

Recruiting Activity
We had a lot of recruiting activity this month!
On the Full-time side (to date) we had 27 initials and 12 in-depths interviews. We have had 3 third and 2 final interviews.
On the Intern Side (to date) we had 12 Intern initials, 9 in-depth interviews, 3 finals, 6 offers made and 6 offers accepted. One of the accepts will be in our Post Graduate Program.
I would also like to welcome our new addition to the team. Stefanie Carias. She will be a recruiting intern under me helping with day to day tasks in the recruiting department along with other office needs.
Office Referral Contest Update
Our office referral challenge ends Friday 6/2 at 5:00PM! The championship round is Justin Maher versus Warren Pena and the winner gets a new 48" TV!!
