Aronimink Golf Club, founded in 1896, is located in Newtown Square, PA and is proud to offer Members the finest in dining and sporting activities, including a nationally ranked Donald Ross designed golf course.

The Club also offers trapshooting, a pool facility featuring a diving pool, lap-lane pool and kid’s pool, and a racquets facility featuring nine outdoor tennis courts, two indoor tennis courts, four platform tennis courts, as well as several pickleball courts.

Aronimink Golf Club is perennially recognized as one of the top golf courses in the country and top clubs in the world. Aronimink is currently ranked as the #9 Platinum Golf Club in America, the #36 Platinum Golf & Country Club in the World, and #85 golf course in the country. In 2026, Aronimink will serve as the host venue for the 108th PGA Championship.

Junior Sous Chef Position Overview

Aronimink Golf Club is seeking passionate culinarians to join and help lead our diverse and talented team. The Junior Sous Chef will rotate through each area of our club to learn and grow as a culinarian and as a leader. We are a full service club offering our Members a wide variety of dining experiences ranging from fast casual to fine dining to custom catered events including weddings, wine dinners, and holiday parties. With a recent full-kitchen renovation, the main kitchen is set with all-new, state-of-the-art equipment. Plans for additional kitchen improvements are also well underway.

We are looking for passionate, resourceful individuals with a thirst for knowledge and an eagerness to embrace new experiences and challenges. Culinary Team Members should possess a desire to lead by example and the humility to learn from all members of their team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in training fellow team members and supervising an assigned area of responsibility
  • Assist with menu development including daily specials, seasonal a la carte menus, and custom special events
  • Assist with organizing people and product for successful food service
  • Assist with leading team to maintain a high level of kitchen order and cleanliness
  • Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh and properly produced and presented
  • Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients
  • Bake, grill, steam, and boil meats, vegetables, fish, poultry, and other foods
  • Use kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers and warmers in food preparation
  • Present, garnish, and arrange final dishes
  • Occasionally serve food and interact with Members
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes
  • Handle and store ingredients and food
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards consistent with state and local health department regulations
  • Practice and abide by all Club policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years progressive culinary experience in a restaurant, club, hotel, or resort
  • Possess an advanced and diverse set of cooking skills including a solid understanding of the basics
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates a genuine desire to grow as a culinarian and as a leader through life-long learning
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Maintain a positive attitude with commitment to teamwork
  • Possess a passion for food and service
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Additional Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency on A La Carte Stations including Grill, Sauté, and/or Garde Manger
  • Experience with Catering/Banquets
  • ServSafe Certification
  • Associates Degree in Culinary Arts or completion of ACF certified apprenticeship
