Arrived at our destination at two-thirty after an uneventful journey. The only hold up was as we approached Leeds but Mummy my navigator took prompt action to get us moving again, three cheers Hoorah! Hooray! Hoorah! Heavy rain all afternoon so we had coffee and biscuits in the Drawing Room. Photo shows front view of Middlethorpe Hall. Built in 1699 for a Thomas Barlow a country gentleman, similar to myself. It also has hundreds of trees and a Ha Ha, kitchen garden and stable buildings tastefully restored. Was once a girl's boarding school and a night club. Not at the same time of course.
