School Uniforms Be Mandatory in Schools If government fails to fulfill the end for which it was established-the preservation of the individual's right to life, liberty and property.

By Logan Perreault

My philosopher, John Locke, would not agree with this topic because he has stated before that everyone has individual rights, liberty, life and property. I found this quote when John Locke was arguing about the second Treatise on government, more importantly arguing about human rights.

The True rebels are the magistrates who, acting contrary to the trust granted them, violate the people's rights.

I feel like John Locke's quote may have affected our decisions today because most public schools do not don't have school uniforms and the reason why that's the case, because we believe everyone has the right to do whatever they want.

Even though John Locke lived hundreds of years back his quote still affects our decisions today. For example most public schools don't have school uniforms and the why that's the case because we believe everyone has the right to do whatever they want to themselves, or even wear what they want.
