Hub Bulletin April 2020

Welcome to our April edition of the York Music Hub Bulletin.

We hope that this bulletin finds you well. During these uncertain times, we are keen to highlight that we are working in line with advice from both the Arts Council and the Government. As you will be well aware, all events and gatherings are cancelled for the moment, so we are looking at new ways of making music together. If you have any virtual performances or events happening , please do let us know at news@yorkmusichub.org.uk and we will do our best to spread the word.

We have also been working on pulling together our own Virtual Music Hub #YMHShare , (more details below) please look out for further information and updates on our social media pages.

In an attempt to continue to have a creative outlet, and stay connected with the wider world, our Hub Manager has started a weekly YMH Blog entitled 'Noted.' Please let us know if there is anything you would like to be featured in the blog and click here to subscribe or read the latest post.

York Music Hub Online Sharing Area Now Live!

Our new online sharing space launched on the 1st April and has so far been a huge success. We have already featured many amazing performances from young people in and around York. The idea is to have a forum where we celebrate music making and creativity. The area is for anyone who had a concert cancelled, a festival pulled, an exam postponed or just for anyone who's using this time to work on being musical. It's for things that are or were happening in school, it's for families at home, it's a way for us all to connect, share and enjoy each others music at this really difficult time.

Please do add more to the site by visiting share.yorkmusichub.org.uk or clicking here. All details of how to upload submissions are on the site, just follow the "submissions" link.
